I'm glad to hear that you are moving on. I try not to give advice (but I do it anyway), because I have enough of my own bunglings to keep me busy.
However, your relationship with le Hubby has not sounded like a good thing for you. I'm glad to hear that you don't want to hurt him, because you would feel bad about yourself for doing so later. But Gawd, it must be tempting! In any case, we each bring enough misery upon ourselves without assistance from others, so he is now reaping what he has chosen to sow.
His self-righteousness, resentment, and lack of forgiveness have brought this divorce about. You can't continually massacre someone else's spirit and expect a good outcome.
He's being puppy-dog nice now because he expects a reward. That won't last when he doesn't get the results he wants, so be prepared.
We are all pulling for you, Anna, during this next important step toward your recovery and a better life for yourself & your kids.

It seems that you’ve thankfully progressed far enough in your recovery to have gotten your act together.
I’m glad you’ve finally found your way clear to rid yourself of the albatross that’s been around your neck for entirely too long, and that your attorney is as considerate of your situation as he seems to be.
Good luck with your tooth. Is it broken so badly that extraction is required, or could your dentist do something less like just smoothing off the sharp edges and save the tooth?
I hope you can get all the legal stuff behind you soon and be able to move on with your life. That's when the healing will begin.
