I'd return the glass pot for a refill - of course! "more, sir?"

Gack! Roasted Cat! Ewwwwwwwwwwww!
Have an excellent day today and an excellent sandwich (and please check under the bread before taking a bite, just in case).

When I was in England in July 1998, there was a wonderful sandwich chain called Pret-a-manger. We ate lunch there most days, as far as I can remember; it was reasonably priced, the sandwiches were really good (and I had my first lemon squash there), and there seemed to be a good range. If you see one, it might be worth a try.
It all sounds heavenly. I can't wait until I get there.

Maybe the glass pots have a deposit on them -- could you get a discount on another dessert if you brought the pot back? That would be a good scheme -- continuing incentive to keep buying their desserts!
Mmm, lemon puff...

Oooooh...prawn and rocket with lemon mayo on poppyseed bread...
Drooling helplessly even though I've just finished an English (?) muffin with peanut butter

You know, no wonder I felt like I was starving the entire time I was in the UK. Of course, I was quite a bit larger at the time. However, I never ate breakfast, so we'd get these little catered lunches with little sandwiches (still love tuna and cucumber), and I'd still be starving . And I never got used to ordering dinner, with starters and all that.
But, I loved being in Woking, even if it was for work.

Ah,the UK rain; mostly it wouldn't make a "frog strangler" as we have in Texas, but it has no match for endurance. Martha and I brought raincoats, but had no use for them 'til Edinburgh. I had also brought a cap, the sort one wears whilst driving a two seater drop head coupe, but it was soon sodden and useless. Martha had brought no headgear, but she talked a shopkeeper out of a plastic shopping bag and put it on her head. Thus we walked down the Royal Mile, with me tempted to walk on the other side of the avenue, as the Scots stared at her in astonishment.
