I too have been to Lambeth Palace! I lunched with the Archbishop there. Not just the two of us, of course, and it was Carey, not Williams. But hey, I didn't get to look at any historical documents ~ enjoy your visit!
I'm beginning to think I may have made some kind of an unwise choice in choosing to become a scholar of contemporary American literature. Alas, no exotic travels ahead for me (and really very few lovely libraries).
Perhaps, if I think very, very hard about it I could justify scholarly trips to exciting places like Milledgeville. And if I'm very convincing, Santa Fe.
Because I don't think I ought to start over again . . .
