Bookshelves and tea. They're really the only signposts of civilization in unruly times such as these.
Assam... *blissful sigh* I knew I missed academe. Too bad I drove right off the academic track after my MA Eng Lit. I think my license to drink Assam might have expired.

The colors of your Colinette are similar to my Koigu Kersti. However as I am doing lace, it is mental exercise not relaxation.
It sounds as if your office is coming along. I just obtained an Adm. Asst. after collecting papers in boxes for 2 yrs. Things are slowly, but surely getting organized!

giggle. I now know where the phrase *in FITS and starts* comes from...
I shall light an extra candle at the shrine of our lady of Academia...

Soon, soon, I'll be back there.
Though it's discouraging to think that the summer has been such that thinking of classes beginning makes me feel positively gleeful.
But at least I'll no longer be responsible for the high-strung, high-maintenance lawyers.
Only the high-strung, high-maintenance students.
Tea will clearly be in order.
As will knitting.

Photos, please, kind lady. I want to watch the set up of the New Office... (I am nosy, yes.)

I second Rachael's request for pictures - they'll also provide proof of the need for outside help to set up office things. I do feel for the desk-less new faculty, though. Enjoy your tea, maybe offer them some?
Would that there were a shrine for Our Lady of Academia, Greta! Surely there's a patron saint at least?
