When I was in college, a friend of mine had was on the undefeated freshman crew team. Every time they won a race, they would throw the coxswain in the water to celebrate. When they won at the Head of the Schuylkill and tossed him into that river, his white uniform turned _dark gray._
I don't think they ever competed in the Head of the Ohio, but I wonder what color the cox would have turned?
