In a completely platonic way. But still.

I've been away for a week or so and I return to read about the trebuchet and the turkey fryers and the Youth Ministries and Elsie Dinsmore.

Oh, I read the first one when I was about 8 and wept with sadness and grief at every page. Then I read it again when I was about 15 and looking for nostalgia and was entirely horrified by the whole thing. But also somehow never threw it away and now you've made me want to go find it so I can laugh myself silly.
