Yes, ladies and gentlemen:
The newest addition to the varied and vast selection of Brannenisms.
"I think it would be nice to be a person who made sense."
Really, Anne. Sometimes the most lovely "pearls" fly out of your mouth... and/or keyboard.

There you are, Meredith, all graduated and moved away, and you are STILL taking notes!
Feel free to use the pearls with the sixth graders, if you need them.

"I think it would be nice to be a person who made sense."
Oh. Amen. Me too.
And by the way, I'm trying *very hard* to not be one of the cadre of grad students knitting raw chicken Viking hats.
It's not working.

Kill me if I'm one of those knitting the Raw Viking Chicken helmut, although I have to say, I'm appalled at the number of friends I have that are intrigued by it. I've already categorically refused to make it for anyone. Ever. Not just because I loathe chickens either.
On the other hand, a knitted '50's house? I can hardly wait until I can knit the 60's/70's home of my childhood. Is it possible? Those colors didn't exist in nature. Shag avocado carpet, turquoise kitchen counters.......argh.

One of my most enduring memories of my grandfather is that on a very bad landscape of a lake, which hung in he & grandma's basement, he affixed a contingent of small ducks cut from wood grain contact paper. His position was that there was not enough critters in the scene.

It was ghastly, but at least it got the knitters to throw away their patterns and really create something original. Or facsimile. Whatever.
