Gravatar Funny! I didn't know I had a high-value knitters' collectible in my possession.

And yes, my boyfriend finds it hilarious that it looks like a _____.

Gravatar A good chuckle here..

Gravatar Well, I think these high prices are easily explained by the fact that these Chibis come from smoke-free homes.

That is KEY, people.

We do NOT want the Smoky Chibis, be they pink or be they green.

Proud to own a pink one, although I seem to have lost the gold-plated needle. Smoke-free all the way, though. xoxo Kay

Gravatar The anatomical resemblance is the first thing I thought of when I saw the Chibi! After of course, the question of just what the heck a Chibi was.

Tudor Roses has a high bid of $15.50? Argh! Why do I never think of EBay? (Because Amazon dot com exists.)

Gravatar Ohhhh, that is too funny. I have never thought of it that way, which is a new experience for me, because I'm usuallly in the sewer. I'll never look at a Chibi the same way again.

Gravatar Ack! I thought I'd seen it all, in knitting-collectible lunacy. But no.....Guess I'd better put the green Chibi next to the Beanie Babies, in readiness for when the purple Chibis appear.

Gravatar What? the Pink Chibi is popular because it resembles a particularly "naughty" body part?

huh? I guess I'm just too practical for my own good. I have an aqua chibi, and I'm happy to have it, 'cos those little needles are great for kitchenering.

I really didn't see the body part thing until you mentioned it.

I mean, good gosh, there are MUSHROOMS out there that bear a closer resemblence to that particular bit of the anatomy than the plastic chibi....are they going for big bucks on e-bay (I would hope not, because the species I'm thinking of also emits a powerful stink).

Gravatar My first thought was that it looked like a case for holding feminine hygiene supplies while travelling.
