Gravatar No Games Because They Not Dignified.

Good plan.

I once attended a shower where (no kidding) they microwaved different candy bars (until they became unrecognizable brown masses), placed each in a numbered diaper, and invited us to guess the brand of candy. I presume, by smelling.

I have always had a strong gag reflex; it took me several weeks (at least) to be able to even think about eating chocolate again.

Gravatar The Raw Chicken Viking Hat is a subject of much debate at House Subdivided. I love it -- Mrs. Sub-D, well, not so much.

Congrats on finishing it, though. If I recall correctly, the drumsticks are the challenging part. I'd never have the patience for such a thing...

Gravatar It's adorable!! I just love it!! and it's just too bad it won't be dignified. It will probably end up being the favorite hat!!

Gravatar I love the image I have in my mind of a tiny tot wearing this hat! It's funny and subversive.

Gravatar Lovely, simply lovely - and pink is particularly subversive!

Gravatar I love the hat! (The authentic one you've linked is also great.)

I really have to write that article on historic costume in early post-confederation Canada. Their idea of Viking costume was wonderfully cliched!

Gravatar You are totally my knitting heroine.

Gravatar I adore the hat. Probably because it's a riot on top of it having some sort of cultural-historical merit. Gives it Depth and Dignity.

No games to be played at my shower either. Terribly undignified. We will gorge on cake and other ill-inducing delicacies instead.

Gravatar Can't you get suspended (over a vat of boiling oil) for Inciting Grad. Students to Jollity?

Gravatar My! It is raw-looking! Kudos! and KFCs!

Gravatar Love the raw chicken hat, actually thought it was real. It's so good I want to include it in a book I'm putting together "Things not to Lick". Yes, it is as silly as it sounds. I was hoping to get your, or whomever took the picture, permission to use the picture. May I? Thanks, Alison.
