Is it wrong that sight unseen, I want you to get this house? I love quirky old houses. I love aventure.
Oh man. I hope this works.

good wishin, good wishin, good wishin! yes oh yes, i can see you putting many books in boxes, and having to find other containers for all the yarn...there may NOT be enough boxes, but you'll definitely get the house, yes.

Keeping needles crossed for you and your most excellent family, that you should acquire the house, the remains of the summer kitchen, and all the ghosts therein.
Also the white hart, although I believe they are not purchased so much as they bestow themselves -

I'm thrilled at how the aventure is shaping up. On the other hand, the name for that mortgagey thing is guaranteed to make me sing "Swing Loan, Sweet Chariot" for the rest of the day.

Good luck. We tried calling buyers' agents but they didn't call back or were rude (so un-Pittsburgh). We are on our third and fourth sellers agents.
The first two were condescending and wouldn't show us what we wanted to see. The third one ... also a little bit that way. The fourth one? GREAT service but he does seem to be insane or just very weird.
Nonetheless, he made the deal and we finally found a house after 9 months of looking. Yay.

Well it sounds like some real estate agents are getting paid without having to actually do as much as the seller probably expected.
On the subject of aventurine, it's not something a physicist would know about. I knew of it because of my glass and mineral hobbies, both of which it intersects.
It also turns out that the chemistry involved in making aventurine glass is similar to what is used to make ceramic glasses, such as the famous CorningWare (tm). After your house burns down, the only belonging you'll have left is your CorningWare (tm) which will still be usable. I plan on making some, one of these years.
By the way, the modern version of CorningWare is no longer as durable as the original. The original had no colored decoration, the modern is decorated with china decals and is just like any other china.
