Poor kitty. Lots of hugs, and Bandit the dog sends his best, too.

Ah, coming home to love seems to be just fine. Mr Bryn knows just how Maggie feels and sleeping and smiling and loving is fine by him too. No illusions is a good way to approach each day:0)

Here's hoping that the pecan trees don't fall and another few generations can share the new stories that result.
Best wishes to Maggie the Cat. Sounds like she's in good hands. Had to euthanize my beloved, ornery cat nearly three years ago in similar circumstances so I can sympathize.

The Trinity comes through our neck of the Crosstimbers too, and I can guarantee you that we didn't add a single drop to any flooding scenarios, despite dire predictions from weather men/women. Here's hoping your kin learned that less can be more also.

Too bad about the kitty. Give her a good rub under the chin (or behind the ears, whatever she likes best) for me.

Those are some good stories (& thanks for the back links.) Family reunions must be a good time for all.
Best wishes to Maggie the cranky-sounding cat. And to the humans in the family as well.

You didn't promise Maggie a monument, did you?
Forgive me for I am still in denial that my cat will ever, ever get sicker than a few fleas can make her.
best to all of you--even those who think of the "bottom" as ownable land. especially those...

I'm still ROFLing re "never miss an opportunity for narrative". Best wishes to you all as you comfort Maggie in her last days. It hurts when they're done with this life - but that's part of what makes them such great companions, eh?

Bye bye, Maggie. We all hope it's quick and as painless as possible.

Some cats will do anything for extra lovin' and treats. Seriously, may her transition to cat heaven go smoothly for her and your family (does the Child know?)
And I love me some fightin' family. It puts the 'fun' in dysfunctional!
