I'm not up to knitting that yet - she's going to have to be very patient if she's wanting me to do it.

This may be an indication of how empty my existence has become, but I actually enjoy the longer, essay-style entries.

Not to be a crank or anything, but Bob's a wimp. The entry length is one of the blog's most attractive features. (Plus, it has all the usual fine features good blogs share.)

(By the way, I was trying to be teasing. It doesn't look so funny now that it's posted...)

Wow. You've become a Starbuccaneer.
No, your habit won't kill you. At least not physically. But, I must say, a tall latte costs -- what? Like $2.57 including tax. (I act like I don't know, but really I have the POS screen memorized, because yes, I am STILL working at the ridiculous place.)
If you get one every day, 5 days a week, that's $12.85 a week. Taking a week off for Thanksgiving, and two for Christmas and New Year's, that's 49 weeks out of every year.
$629.65 per year on your daily latte habit. And most of that, I'm afraid, is covering the cost of the pretty red cup they're serving that latte in now.
Happy coffee-ing.

What Deborah and Cordelia said.
(Although I do like the links - yours are always good.)

Never, ever, ever change a thing -- I love Creating Text(iles) exactly the way it is. My point, just to reiterate for those who missed it, was that I'm so busy lately that I tend to not read the longer, more detailed blogs that are on my regular "must read" list simply because I don't have the time to give them the attention they deserve.
Cordelia's right, though -- I am a wimp. But not for the reason she cites.

Just imagine how much more excellent darlingness your freshmen could muster under threat of a tiny catapult!
And you don't have to knit me an impaled bunny to thank me; you could just give me a kitten. Just a little one, you'd never miss it.

Oh, I do not believe that we could muster any more darlingness under the threat of that tiny catapult!
However, I think that it's marvelous, especially for the medievalist.
I understand that we were not being dissed, by the way, hopefully we can make it through the last few weeks without losing our reputation as the "model class of excellent darlingness," although I cannot promise anything after the effect of that treasure hunt/potluck!!!
One more thought, the catapult might be useful in punishing late students...
(much better than public humiliation..)
