Yes, Chaucer's blog is coming in terribly handy. Now if I could only scare up a few more bloggers of historical note (surely someone at the court of Mary Tudor would have kept a blog? If not, how about at Mary, Queen of Scots' court?), I'd have all my teaching needs covered!
I am sitting here at the college invigilating an exam (read: being paid to knit while some poor child sweats their life out onto a couple of sheets of crumpled foolscap in the next room) and almost disgraced myself by spitting co-cola onto (someone else's) computer monitor at the phrase "whiche ys aboute as tolerante and charmynge as a badger on methamphetamynes". I think I'm going to have to read Chaucer in the original if it's anywhere as amusing as that.
