I say if it keeps her from jumping on your head in the middle of the night, let her watch as much tv as she wants.
I had a cat who was very partial to cartoons and another who would watch election returns with me. And both would watch whenever there was a cat on tv. Go figure.

I may or may not live with a young terrier who may or may not enjoy watching violent movies. Like Sin City and Reservoir Dogs (but I suspect that she enjoys the latter because it speaks of her people). She only watches films from the comfort of the couch, and only when the television is at a *reasonable* volume.
She also enjoys sqeak-toys, and she retrieves the toys when I ask for them by name. She has a monkey puppet named Mr. Orangütan and a bear puppet named Mr. Colbear, for example.
So, I have a theory concerning all of this: I think that because she lives with me, that some of my crazy has "rubbed off" on her. I believe that my dog was both cursed and blessed the minute I picked her out of a dozen wriggling pudding-cup-sized puppies--she's a nerd dog.
I am, of course, implying that you now have nerd cats. Blissfully happy, eccentric fun and frolicking nerd cats. ;o)
Additionally, your most recent comment on my blog may or may not have made yummy boiling hot tea go right up my nose. From the laughter. And the love.
