Gravatar Very creative! I admit the photo startled me a bit. He's got a bit of Gene Simmons's spirit in him, eh?

Gravatar Oh, and I just had a brief idea flash - you could tie a string to a wrist that connects it to a wrist of the lower arm; when he lifts his first arm, the second will follow.

Gravatar love the costume. miss you and your wonderful sense of humor.

happy halloween!

Gravatar Does it show how warped I've been by Catholic education that my first thought when seeing the picture was St. Philomena? But that's a trident, not an anchor. Very cool!

Gravatar Oh, good for him (and you!) that you're not as easily intimidated as I was at a similar age. I wanted to be Selene, minor Greek goddess of the moon one year, and my parents worried so much about whether other people would figure out who I was, that it put me off raising the costume bar for many years.

Now, of course, stopping by the hardware store in my SCA garb after fighter practice, the clerks want to know who I am 'being'. We all know the answer to that one.

Gravatar Anne, you're brilliant; he looks terrific!

Gravatar When it comes to the subject of death, I also believe in a low key approach; forewarned is four armed!

Gravatar There is no word in English, Latin, Klingon or Esperanto to describe just how much I both love and ENVY that costume. I believe that most holidays benefit from some glorious righteous indignation, especially of the "how could you not identify my costume" variety on The Ween.

Also, I am of the opinion that the number of Halloween props increases the costume's fun level exponentially.

Best. Kali. Costume. Ever. :o)

Gravatar Okay, it's official.

I adore the boy.

YAY!!!! Hooray for Kali. Best representation I have seen by anyone (of any gender) EVER.

Gravatar Quite impressive.

Well done (both of you).

Gravatar YOW--scary costume!

Excellent Kali! I think I need to print out this picture and wear it on my forehead at those times when I'm feeling, y'know, short of patience...

Gravatar Well I read the stuff on "trackback" and still don't understand it, so here's a trackback link for you to fiddle with in the "homepage" link:

Gravatar My talk in Hawaii went well. In the process of writing the introduction to my new book, I've found a fascinating site for useless inventions:
