hello ann. when i heard his comments i was so distressed and shocked - felt like i had been kicked in the stomach. i also didn't respond well to his defense where he came out swinging at bush.
i personally feel that bush and cheney did very wrong the way they led us into iraq. and i think they do need to apologize to the nation and the world for invading iraq against much of the world's opinion, including pope john paul who grew up in communism.
but that doesn't change the fact that john kerry's comments were graceless and disrespectful of our soldiers. i tried several avenues to communicate with him that he should apologize unconditionally without further delay.

speaking of iraq, i saw today the cover of newseek features an article by the guy who has a show on public tv about international affairs - a very smart guy who knows the middle east because he grew up there.

OK- so...at the risk of being so offended (you know...since my husband is "stuck" in Iraq) that I go by a plane ticket to Boston & then personally slap Sen. Kerry...I think I will just consider him a moron (like Al Gore) & then the world makes sense again. -Kat
