Lilith, not that I want to rub it in, but it really is nice.
Suzanna, only Paris. The rest of France, well... But hey, you know, I'm available as a guide. ;)
Neil, I do that when people are visiting, yes - as I'm not from Paris originally, I enjoy it too.
Mrs. M, we do, it's a fake one of course, but it's great.
Carl, marvellous but oh so exhausting.
Hoss, it is a lovely tour, in nice weather.
LiVEwIRe, travels are the food of the soul. Deep, aren't I? Yeah, tired.

Your sights are so much cooler than mine. Damn. But yes, the fleece... it is wonderful stuff! One brand is EcoFleece, I believe, and it is so very soft. Geez, I need to do some traveling - I'm overdue.

Sounds like an absolutely marvelous day in the life of a Paris gal! :)
Sorry about the camera.

You have beaches in Paris? I've been to Le touquet. That's where I went for the day. Maybe disposable cameras are best in wet water..

I'm always curious about whether locals really go to their own tourist spots except when they have visitors? I never visited the Statue of Liberty until I moved out of New York? Do most Parisians go to the traditional French tourist sites?

ooh, Paris Plage is one of the things I reeeeally wanted to see when I was last round... Boohoo... And naturally when I go back, it'll all be over. Typical. Och well, I don't mind, I will just go and weed my garden. When it's stopped raining. (ok it's actually not strictly true, but I bet you that when I am actually free to go to the garden, it will be raining. Because that's the way it is.

Oh, sorry, guys, I like to be overly melodramatic, but it was really just the batteries...
And Fence, do it, you'll enjoy it. But I totally get the "can't be arsed" thing.

I often think I should do the tourist thing here in Dublin, cause I've not been anywhere in ever so long. When I was a kid I do remember going to places with the parents. Kilmainham jail, for example, where my brother (#2) got scared.
Hmmmm, maybe you've inspired me to go visit shit this weekend. But chances are I won't be arsed :)

Let's hope the 'Voice of a city' thing works out and they give you a good replacement camera.

I have now entered into the jealousy stage. I want to go on vacation and take a boat tour and go to a Parisian beach!
And lord knows I want a glace à l'italienne.... and did I mention I am fabulous with waiters? ;)
Bummer about the camera—is it a total loss?
