Exactly, kyknoord. Write my representative now!
Oh but they are spoiling a lot of people's fun, Fence: just seeing Mr. Sarkozy's face makes me angry and scared.
You've been gazing at too many Robert Doisneau pictures, Ben O. What about dog poop, exhaust fumes, snooty Parisians?
I'm not sure, Terri. You'll just have to come over quick, I guess...

One of my favourite things about visiting France has been being allowed to sit down in a comfy chair, indoors, and have a great cup of coffee while smoking a cigarette.
Any way they'll postpone the ban even longer..?

Oh, the horror!
My memory of Paris is beautiful cafes and cobbled streets with non-chalante people everywhere drinking their coffee and smoking their ciggies. I love that image.
Don't ever change, France!

Well, it at least having a govt worried about not getting re-elected means they aren't busy spoiling everyone's fun, like a certain politician over here. Seems that our Mr. McDowell goes about thinking about what people enjoy and then trying to eradicate it. Last thing he did was make fireworks even more illegal, and raise the fine from a fiver to 10 grand. That's a bit of a hike.

Never give up! Never surrender! Cigarettes may be killing you physically, but when you stop smoking, a truly fundamental part of you dies.
