What is this, some sort of mothers meeting place for the left wing! I have visited Mr.Skinners blog numerous times, and he does make some good points. Especially where you claim we have a morale responsibility to take in refugees from European nations. What about the European asylum laws Anthropax, stating that they are to claim asylum in the first safe country away from persecution???

Ad, there is a difference between a moral duty, and a legal duty. I'm only honouring the British tradition of helping those fleeing oppression in their own countries. Mr Skinner claims to be Christian, and I cannot see how he can combine his racist views and Christianity, a religion based upon love - what would Jesus do? Not, I feel promote racial hatred.

I would have thought that you would be dead against Europe 'poking it's nose in'. Although I'm in favour of Europe, sometimes it gets it wrong. I think it is, in part at least, a moral issue, and I think that it is immoral to deny sanctuary to those fleeing persecution. Historically, Britain did this, and was renound throughout Europe as a haven for free-thinkers, until the Aliens Act 0f 1905.
Go Anthropax wooo!!! I agree with you, all right wing facists. where is your morality? Asylum seekers should be welcome into our country, they help keep Britain a multi-cultural society, which we should be proud to be a part of, especially when you get countries that persecute the ethnic minorities (for example Serbia) would you really like to live in a country with a history like that? Many people come to the UK in search of a better life, which we should provide and help them to build. a life they deserve. Many asylum seekers come to the UK from what used to be the British Empire, countries which we mucked up. We are now in their debt to provide them with an opportunity at life.
