من که البته خیلی وقت نیست رسیدم، حدود دو ماه ولی همین چند وقت پیش داشتم دقیقن به همین موضوع فکر میکردم که من اون اوائل که رسیده بودم بهتر حرف میزدم و الان کلی خجالت میکشم! خیلی جالب بود که اینو اینجا خوندم
چون برای خودم خیلی عجیب بود و توقع داشتم هر چی بیشتر میگذره روون تر و راحت تر صحبت کنم.

1. If your colleges sometimes call you, 'Homer' it's not because of a linguistic derivation. People, especially Westerners often nickname each other according to their characters. Most of the times, these common names are taken out of popular TV programs and series. As you know, 'Homa' is only one-word name, so there would be no place for such theory.
2. If you think that you General English or GE has not been improved and in fact it's going down bit by bit, there are two linguistics facts for this reason.
a. Depending on gender, age, first language, typology and many more factors, the learning outcome of second language learners vary case by case. However, there is a common issue that include many language learners. Learning a language is not always steady. While you're learning a language, sometimes your language proficiency is high and sometimes low. Again, after a while it turn to be high and again low, it's like a circle. You should just bear in mind that those who start learning a foreign language after the age of 10, scientifically speaking have no chance to master that specific language!
b. There is a linguistic phenomenon which is called, 'fossilization'. It refers to the time when people have no progression in mastering a language anymore, although they practice a lot. There are various known reasons for that but it generally happens to those who are over 45.
At the end, according to my linguistic professor, 'don't be too harsh on yourself'. There are a lot of grammatical and semantic mistakes done by native speakers day by day, then even cannot pronounce some words properly, and many more. Even, some scholars have gone further, they are questioning the word, 'native' and 'nonnative' itself!

Homa : Thanks. I do not have problem with GE facts. You are absolutely right. But for this post this is not the case. Like I do not think the reason they call me Homer is becasue they want to give me the nick name. My nick name here is H funny but I like it.
Anyway I did not mean to make you upset. Sorry if I did.
You know Homa khanoom, I understand what you say... but perfectionism is not always very good... as long as it is going to stop you in something just throw it away, im serious!
