no. at least not Rosie, and it wasn't exactly like she was potty trained at 4 months or anything. Regular kid, potty trained by just over three. Nakedness, of course. But private bits, nope.

Parker on the other hand sounds just like Caleb right down to the letting his bits hang out over his waistband. And he has just recently discoved that if you run around holding your penis you can avoid going to the bathroom for another 30 seconds. derick is proud that he has taught Parker that when using public urinals you don't have to pull your pants down around your ankles. Huh? This never occurred to me, but I guess Daddys are there to teach them these finer points.

Yes, Logan does the penis-pinch-pee-pee dance from time to time and Caleb will do it right along side his brother...even though he has no idea what the hell is going on...just looks like fun I guess.

Thank goodness for Dads and the finer points. If only AIMING was among the finer points.

This discussion brings back good, funny memories of the same experiences. Matt was pretty good about potty training. He would sit on his little potty and read, look at his books for a long time. NOW, he sits and reads his paintball magazines. Not much has changed there. When he moved into his 'new' big bed and was getting up at night to go potty, one night he got confused, missed the bathroom by a couple of doors. I turned around in the kitchen to see Matt peeing right in the middle of the floor, turn around and go back to bed. But now his favorite thing to do is 'GO' in the backyard, which I discourage. Yes, Aiming lessons would be a great relief for all mothers!

Ugh, 'going' in the backyard...I do NOT understand that one. Lynn still does it...gross...and he's not the only one in our neighborhood. You would think that grown, white-collar men could use the plumbing that they've PAID for instead of the backyard. JEEZUS.

no kidding!!! but little girls go through a phase of it too. One road trip when Rosie was younger we let her pee at the side of the road. She thought this was GREAT! and it ended up taking us twice as long to reach our destination...
