Amy, I'm so sorry that you went through this, especially having been on the receiving end of your Backtack swap. You do put alot of thought into your swaps, not to mention work on so many handmade items. I feel so fortunate to have met you! |
Ugh...this has happened to me a couple of times...I try to put a lot of thought, effort (and usually a fair amount of my money) into my swap packages...I have been burned two or three times in similar fashion...it's certainly disheartening. |
So sorry this happened to you Amy... What angers me most is the thought- and carelessness of some people... Gifts (or swap items) don't have to be big or expensive, but you should feel that someone put thought, time and love into them. Too bad there isn't a black list of crappy swap partners. |
Going into it you couldn't have known that it wasn't gonna work out..but it is unfair because when you swap you put thought into it. You pick out and make stuff specifically for that person.. and knowing that the thought wasn't there on her part is the crappy thing. She has to live with it now. |

faun, anke, bertha and amy... do you want to have a little swap? We could send a little parcel to each person, perhaps on a Halloween theme? It would have to be little, just a single item (or two, or three) since you are doing three packages? let me know what you think! |
um..yes! |
Oh yeah! I am so in!! It would be super fun! Let's not forget that I live in Salem, MA aka Halloween capital USA! It would be fun to put it to good use this year, rather than cursing about how much I hate all the freaking tourists! (Which I will no doubt do anyway...) |
How can I pass up a Halloween swap? Will you email us all the particulars? |
sure! now... let me think? |
