I to well up and bawl when thinking of Grandpa Fred. I was reading this post outloud to Jill and could not help get a catch in my throat and a tear in my eye. I am so lucky to be part of such a great family, with such great memories.

What a wonderful post...it almost made me well up too...
I can relate to what you wrote so much. My grandparents are all gone now but my husbands grandmother is the most delightful person to be around. I actually just got off the phone with her...it seems she doesn't age at all (she is almost 81 now, but that really is just a number). It's like talking to a friend my age, we always have a lot of fun. Losing a grandparent is like losing a part of yourself...a part of who you are, a part of your family history. I hope that when we have children my grandma-in-law will still be around.

Your uncle Fred looks like a jolly/kind man. A man anyone would be glad to have around. It's so nice to see that people are close to and love their families as much as you do. It's such a treasure to be lucky enough to have a close family.
Your fancy grandma sounds like mine, she died when i was 2 and i really wish I could remember her and had more time with her. She was my moms mother and I just want to know the person who made my mom so wonderful and it hurts that i don't have that, but all the pictures I see of her and the way my mom talks of her, she was fancy classy.
My great Aunt is a great lady too, always witty and hip. She is more in touch with what's trendy and "in" than i am..
It's sad to think that family won't always be around, but thank god for memories.. I can't wait to have a family and make tons of them.
