We met a man who owns some of the property leased to the wind farms. He said that each one of the windmill costs around a million dollars. That seems a bit much to me but I don't know if he really knew what he was talking about or not.

Gary's mom and step-dad have property in Sweetwater that they've leased out too. Don't know about the cost involved in fabricating and installing them, but I have to imagine it's up there. One million a piece seems cost prohibitive though. I wonder what they pay to use people's land...you and dad should look into that.

Yup, I drove past these things on the way to Ft. Worth for my Art trip. Freaking huge and looked like they were just a few feet from the highway. Apparently one of the professors driving the van behind us started geting hypnotized by them and started to turn the van. That was a hilarious story forgot to blog about that...darn, probably would have made that one about 14 pages instead of 13.

Yes, that stretch of highway is nice for a good case of vertigo. So weird.

You actually stopped to take a picture?

Yes, pictureS, lots of them.

I filmed them.
