lol, Mom says you're exaggerating and that she only used it on you maybe once. I remember being told that Santa was watching me as well, although I don't remember if the tale of an elf watching me was included. Nice touch with the necklace.

Very very funny story!
I remember my garndma keeping me busy at christmas eve (here in Germany we unwrap our presents on the 24th of December in the early evening) by looking out for the 'Christkind' (how the 'Christkind' and Santa share the job of delivering presents I have never figured out...I hope no child is ever going to ask me). We were standing at the window and staring out into the snow and of course NEVER SAW ANYTHING. That kept me occupied for hours.
It seems kids are just so much cleverer today...

Beth - this is one of those "red shoes with the frilly white socks" moments. Mom may have only used the window elf once or twice, but "Santa's watching you"...that was totally annual.

Maime, like the necklace.

I have resorted to:
"I'm telling Santa---I will, right now...I'm gonna call him up on the phone and tell him to forget about this house."
Terrible I know, but the kiddo just laughs. He knows how to push my button!

I don't feel so bad now! Why are little boys this age so stinky sometimes?! Ugh.
