Now what is a Chav? I saw the other video and even read the paper but I still dont understand.

Heh heh!

I don't think many people outside the UK understands what Chavs are.

I quote from the ChavScum website ... http://www.chavscum.co.uk/index.php ...

Chavs, Hoodies, Neds, Townies, Kevs, Charvers, Steeks, Spides, Bazzas, Yarcos, Ratboys, Skangers, Scutters, Janners, Stigs, Scallies, Hood Rats, whatever you know them as, this site is about them, Britain's peasant underclass that are taking over our towns and cities!

I think one of those names will probably make you smile.

The 'How to spot a Chav' page ... http://www.chavscum.co.uk/howto.php ... possibly explains it better than I can.

Though the Wikipedia page ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chav ... appears to explain it all best.

I hope this helps.

I have a friend from ireland, and he would go on about what he called 'knackers' (or 'tracker-knacker's').

Could these knackers be the irish equivalent of chavs?

Generally in Ireland "Knackers" refers to travellers, http://www.urbandictionary.com/d...p? term=knackers , but in parts of Ireland "Knackers" or "Scangers" refers to similar people to chavs http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scanger , as is "Tracker Knackers".

Complicated, isn't it?

Yes,,, it is complicated. Here in canada,, we just call them white trash...

Heh heh!

Yep. That just about sums them up!
