mmmm not totaly convienced if they have not been able to check actual pressings, shop records were less acutate back in the 60's, but a million difference is a beg gap huh?

I find it very surprising.
I certainly know a lot more people who own Sgt Pepper's than Queen's Greatest Hits.

I don't live in the U.K., but I'm guessing that the data is probably pretty accurate, just guessing from anecdotal evidence here... Queen is experiencing a big resurgence in popularity recently... I don't know what to attribute it to, but the kids in my daughter's social circle (older teens) are totally into Queen right now... If the same thing is happening in the U.K., perhaps Queen's Greatest Hits album is racking up more sales.

I'm sure Queen's Greatest Hits has always sold steadily.
Maybe Sgt Pepper's sales have been diluted by the release of Antholgy and other compilation albums.

Sargeant Pepper is dated, I guess, these days, I mean it's set as a marker in Time, and Queen less so.
Queen is good, no doubt about it. Beatles are Historic.
