Every household in the UK that has a TV has to have a TV licence by law.

It doesn't matter if you have one TV or a TV in every room, you just need to buy one annual licence.

I'd almost rather the govt collect a bit of tax to support public television rather than have the PBS stations here in the US do their "begging drives" every 3 months (used to be once a year)
