So does this mean the boy doesn't get tired or does the condition cause pain to the boy if he tries to sleep?

After the watching the video, I kinda realise what this condtion is. The boy could get tired but because his brain is unable to 'shut down', he is unable to fall into a sleep state.

Apparently there are many types of symptoms relating to this condition ...

... I'm not entirely sure, but he appears to have an extreme case of insomnia.

Gravatar This family was on the news here this morning. They said that he gets "a couple hours" of sleep a day.

Gravatar I find it difficult to believe that he never sleeps or naps at all.

He must need some rest.

Gravatar I thought not sleeping was eventually fatal. If he's three, he has to have slept a bit.

Gravatar I have ACM1. Aside from the listed symptoms there are plenty of other weird things that can happen when your brain is squeezed. I get panic attacks from fluid pressure on whatever part of the brain is responsible for the fight or flight response. This poor kid's CSF is probably pressing on that or something similar. There is a surgery for it. I had it and it relieved about half of my symptoms.

Rosanna Cash has it too.
