oh yes! we have at least three or four troupes who perform throughout the year.

Oh, it is, but we're devoted Anglophiles here in the Bay Area. we have a very large SCA/Renaissance Faire population, and a very large and popular Christmas Dickens Fair every December, and a lot of dance events in between all of those.
We do have one troupe, the White Rats, who have put a decidedly San Francisco spin on their routine: They often attach their bells and ribbons by inserting long needles through their upper arms and legs. Women are also allowed in that group.
My old grandad said to me before he died, "A man should try everything in life once, apart from three things...incest, homosexuality, and morris dancing"!
