Did you ever see Will Ferrell's impersonation of Janet Reno? OMG, that alone made her appointment worth it.

There was a time -- Lyndon Johnson's time -- when Attorneys General were competent lawyers and honorable men. Nicholas Katzenbach, Ramsey Clark, Ed Levi all come to mind from that general era. Ramsey Clark may be a far-left zealot today, but in 1967-68, he was a first-rate AG. Katzenbach and Levi were intellectual giants -- Gonzalez and Ashcroft would flunk their law school classes, count on it.

I do remember that, actually. Levi was one of the intellectual superstars of 20th century law. It takes a heavyweight like that to avoid being pulled to pieces by the corrupt gravity inherent in the AG's job.

Esquire had an incredibly interesting article on Ramsey Clark in a recent issue. Read it here.
Also, you should go to my site and participate in Movie Madness because you will have fun and we all need some fun.
