Gravatar Set a timer for 15 minutes, then take a quick break... A drink (of water!) or play with the kids for a few minutes, then set the timer for another 15.

You can do it!

Gravatar Gretchen so TOTALLY said what I was going to say. I wonder if she's a Flygirl, too.

Yes, you can do this. Don't look at the whole kit and caboodle together, just divide it up into 15 minute chunks. And seriously, quit when the timer goes off and go do something else. Play with the kids, drink a cup of coffee, blog, whatever.

If you're still freaked out, take a 15 minute session to grab a piece of paper and write down everything that's flying around in your head about your move, no matter how big or small. Then, when you're outside your 15 minutes of worrying about it, know that everything that you are concerned about has been written on that paper. The idea is to transfer your concern from your head onto the paper, so you free up the mental space to do what needs to be done.

Sometimes I do two or three 15 minute cleaning/packing/working sessions, followed by a 15 minute relax session. Just make sure you take at least a quarter of every hour to do relaxing or fun things.

You've got this!

Gravatar I do the exact same thing when cleaning my cave. 15-20 minutes of frantic cleaning followed by a glass of wine and then back to it...clean - drink - clean - drink, drink, drink.

Gravatar I love the idea for the time and PN might have fun with that too!
YOu can do this and the end result will be great! GO Girl

Gravatar Go Girl Go!!!! I totally identify--am moving in 4 wks and it's hard to stay motivated to pack...it's like even after hrs--and a ton of boxes..the remaining stuff multiplies!!!!

Gravatar motivation:
you lose 1 lb. for every box packed;

one ab muscle is magically tightened with each box lifted;

each box lifted is like 5 bun-tightening exercises;

chocolate and wine have NO CALORIES when ingested packing boxes;

5 naked men of your choice appear when the last box is packed, taped and stacked. really. it's true. just wait until you get to the last box... it's magic.

ok, if those don't work, the sooner the boxes are packed, the sooner you get to be with Hubs in a new home!
