It is good to know. Now you'll be able to really help him.
That he is off the charts comes as no surprise. My prayers remain with you that you can figure this whole thing out in a way that is best for him and for you. He is a lucky, blessed boy to have you as his mom.

When my two older brothers (twins) were 4, my mother was concerned that they might be handicapped because she couldn't keep them interested in anything "4 yr old" for more than a few minutes. She took them to be tested at a large Univ. When the doctor emerged holding the hand of each brother, he had a sh*t-a$$ed grin a mile wide on his face. He told my mother that he had not (to that day in 1956) ever tested children with a higher score. He told her to "challenge" them. So she took them home, gave them an old television set and screw drivers and they took it apart and put it back together for a few weeks. They won every science fair in grammar school and were programming computers in high school (that was the 1960's). Yah. Not a bad thing... now you just have to find SR's niche.
(and you do know that there are probably sizable scholarships to private academies for the extremely gifted?)
Of COURSE he is. No surprises there.
I am sure once you sort this out, you will be able to find ways to challenge him and help him channel all his brain power for good. 
He has a switch & once it is flipped, he will be unstoppable...and we can say we knew him when. I plan to remind him that I was one of the first members of his "for President" club.
I'm with Guard Wife. And his name is perfectly presidential, so he's good to go there.
But by the time he's president, he may have to change his middle name to Mountain Dew to get elected.
