Gravatar What a great story. I firmly believe your Mom was there and proud as punch of her daughter. You have done so much and exceeded your wildest dreams. Your strength is inspiring.

Gravatar Sounds like it was a blast.

Gravatar I think we totally get your makeup thing, we just wanted to reassure you that you are amazing just the way you are. Even your egocentric blog is fascinating. I'm not your mom, but I totally appreciate the thrill of being on the White House lawn. My boyfriend and I watched the President land on the White House lawn on Jan. 1 in the Air Force 1 helicopter. We stood there with our mouths hanging open in awe. The thrill of it all. Power. And Glory. It's our country, and you military wives are 110% worth it. I'm so glad you had this opportunity. I have always admired you and your strength, AWTM.

Gravatar I used to live 10 miles from the White House. I loved to give tours of D.C., but I usually talked people out of going to the White House. Because on a normal tour, you wait half the morning for a 45 minute tour, and only get to see a few rooms. Sounds like you got a much better tour. You spouses deserve it!

Gravatar You said, "You need to MOVE" with a look of sheer She-Woman seriousness on your face...just a smidge over controlled anger and a wee bit below full on you're-about-to-be-smacked. It was classic!!!!!

Gravatar Wonderful!!! Thanks for sharing!! And I hope that you got to have a little fun on Mother's Day.

Gravatar That is so wonderful for you. What an incredible honor. Good for you!!!!! I'm jealous.

Gravatar How amazing! What an honor! I am all a dither! The White House! sorry about the makeup, but yeah for good friends! I'm glad you made it there and back safely.
