My hainanese father is a chicken rice expert. He doesn't cook at all, but gives freely of his criticisms on chicken rice when it is prepared by my long-suffering mother. It's funny when you think of it that he knows SO MUCH *about* how to cook chicken and the associated rice, but has never ever had any practical experience.

I buy the pre-packed from Asian Gourmet.. and used Yeo's chicken rice chilli that I find in Halifax.. for my chicken rice fix... i am actually very lucky .. coz' i only found the pre-packed ones last year.. by chance.
