Thank You for Sharing

Glad you liked that little bit. I thought it was neat enough to share. I'd like to teach some shorties about some of the stuff I've learned that doesn't so much jive with the school cirriculum. Maybe someday...

I have had a dream for years that schools would one day be given over completely to Open Space...think about it: the kids gather in the gym on Monday mornings and propose topics they want to learn about that, with the full resources of the school at their disposal: labs, equipment, sports facilities, library teachers. Exeryone posts topics, teachers get hooked up or someone runs to the principal's office and uses the phone to call a couple of community mentors and away we go.
At the end of the year everyone gets an A. No one graduates, no one competes for morks. Kids leave when they want to or stay as long as they like, so after a while you have chemistry classes with 12 year olds and 24 year olds, all growing crystals together.
Do that for ten years, only ten years, and the whole world would change immediately for the better.
My guarantee or your money back.
