Why is it that instinct only fails us when we take it for granted? Glad you weren't seriously injured!!

Falling becomes less dreamy when you're, say, 55ish, and in, say, the parking lot at Mall 205, in a flat pounded dirt strip, and as I'm falling, I'm expecting the landing to feel like a marshmallow or something, but what happens is that I don't bounce at all. I just land there like a dropped ham, dirty and inedible, and look around for witnesses to my indelicate sprawl. There are none, so I drag myself upright and pretend nothing happened. I'm good at that.

ohh, that makes me laugh then i feel bad for laughing. falling is always less then dreamy, but maybe it hurts less when you are dreaming as you fall. i looked around too, expecting people to come rushing to my aid with implements but it was night, and nobody saw me.
