I think greens and all sorts of pork are made to go together.
I blanched and froze my non-lettuce greens this week. There are more veggies in this share, too.

Brilliant! This week I made a quinoa "risotto" that was jam-packed of all those greens. Great for a vegetarian night but my husband will appreciate your pork-tastic idea A LOT more.

My mother taught us to eat tempura carrot tops - it is yummy! Not the healthiest thing to do...but did I say yummy? Yummy! What isn't, deep fried?

Jen - I totally agree that pork and greens belong together. I need to get me some ham hocks.
Anon - I had a veggie thing I made recently with greens, white beans, parmesan and pasta that was very good. I have to say, though, that I do love the pig.
Faye - it's true that I would eat just about anything deep fried. Carrot tops must be divine.

Anybody done anything clever with sorrel? I've done salad dressing and toss some in with salads, rice, cous cous. Got any ideas?
