Kim, you are our poet laureate for local food. And you live what you write. Your flame burns bright.

Someone who understands why I brought home brocolli from the Farmers Market. My husband was said "but we already have brocolli". I said "Yes but this brocolli was just so beautiful and huge. I had to buy some. We can freeze it for the winter when the yucky grocery store brocolli comes in."
It truly is beautiful and I was in love with it.

I have lived in Ann Arbor for 21 years now, but it has only been this past year (as I have intentionally sought out the local foods produced and people who also appreciate them!) that I have finally felt like I am putting down roots in Ann Arbor.
Keep putting words to your feelings, Kim. I enjoy the feeling of love and peace and community that I feel while shedding a few tears reading them.

Hi Jen - you're always so sweet.
Buttercup - I wish I were a poet in training at least. Eating is so much easier than writing.
Melissa - I know just how you feel!
Emily - thanks!
Diana - you've said exactly what I haven't been able to articulate. What is it about food that it can have this effect?
