Get real. 665.000 deaths in 1100 days means over 600 deaths/day. I suppose if you assign responsibility of all deaths in iraq, accidents, old age, etc. to the US you might have that kind of a death rate.

US total troop levels are 133,000. That means each one had to kill five iraqi. Now since, total troops include non-combat support which out number front line combat troops the numbers just don't add up.

But then conspiracy theories ripple through the herd. Do you guys still think US troops and X ray sunglasses?

I have checked here often and I was wondering what happened to you. Welcome Home Salam.

The discussion about -the numbers- fast looses all it's value when you ask yourself: -was the life of even ONE Iraqi child worth any IMAGINED GAIN by this war?? I realize something tiny (like the overthrow of the Saddam Regime) may be considered a gain ~ but the loss of the entire city of Fallujah makes ANY gain insignificant ~ and so much more has been lost forever. You can have those (who say -the number is wrong-) pick a number of deaths that make all this killing =reasonable. I wonder what number they will choose: 1 or 10 or 1000 or 10,000?? What is the number of Iraqi deaths that makes it all -worth it-??

I don't get it when some Iraqis say - - -I don't want you to renounce America, we need them as much as you are afraid that they will leave - - - as if this is a True Statement. Imagine a country bombing the hell out of Iraq for years, stopping things like water pipe and even toilet paper from coming into Iraq for years, killing anything that moved in No-Fly Zones for years, and destroyed all the electrical, gas and highway infrastructure along with thousands of people - and then having the Iraqis say ~ we need them (the people who did all that to Iraq) and want them to stay ! ! Is that insane or what??

I'm glad you're back Salam. Your take on things and your reporting on the REAL situation is truly PRICELESS.
