I wonder how far back in time this goes.
I have a friend who was raised in the Catholic faith, who as a teenager explored becoming a priest. He visited a local seminary, and the priests-in-training took him into their confidence and showed him the dormitory, where they pulled out the NASTY gay porn, and showed it to him, "purely as an example of sin to avoid". There was a painting of erotic torture on the wall. He got the impression that there was a entrenched culture of gay pedophilia among the priesthood.
His feeling is that the priests singled out and exposed recently is simply the church picking the fall-guys and sacrificing them to preserve the secrecy of this culture.
How far back? Ancient Rome, perhaps?

I cannot believe that this does not generate more outrage, that the same person is still at the head, that they are apparently just waiting for everyone to forget.
I will work for and hope that this will NEVER be forgotten.
no wonder the catholics hate nudes. they are so good at covering things up, not to mention covering themselves.
This kind of criminal and obscene behaviour makes me so angry... they don't only (well, "only") rape the childrens' bodies, but also their minds in the most outrageous, despicable way. If a catholic priest ever even dares to smile at my kids, he will have a huge problem with me.
