I hope the ban is lifted. Both Israel and England have a military in which gays openly serve, and each of them have among the finest armies in the world, after the US army of course.

While there may well be atheists on both sides of the argument, without some form of dogmatic thinking, there really is no logical reason to force a certain class of people to remain shamefully marginalized.
