Some of the posts on atheistmedia confuse me. Is this related to atheism/theism on some meta-ironic level?
Personally, I enjoy alien stories as one of the most interesting conspiracy theories we have. At least there's more evidence than for Jesus. :D

It would, but as you know, that doesn't make it any more credible.
Concerning the video, I didn't like how there was no clear separation between scientific (SETI, astrobiology) and out-there stuff (the whole anectdotal rest).
an alien space craft isnt going to fly around aimlessly in space and just find earth. Communication begins with radio telescopes...and so far...no luck!
I totally agree with Wursti about how they failed to make separation between SETI and the "believers"...
I don't know. I've been fascinated by UFOs and aliens my whole life. I think that life almost certainly must exist elsewhere in the universe (just based on probability). But I think the probability of life forms visiting earth is very low. It doesn't mean it's impossible, or never happened. In either case, I still find UFOs fascinating and hope that someday we will know for sure.

The probability of some alien race trekking cross such vast distances just to float about in the sky, or abduct random farmers is about the same as the probability that Jesus is the son of god.
That said, personally I am convinced that there is life somewhere out there. And we will probably never have a two way communication via radio telescope either.
I still like the X-Files, though.
I want to believe.
But I can't until there is evidence. I am only human.
I think the lady is in love with the guy...
Oh, and that there are no aliens on Earth.
