Enjoy! Christmas is a busy time of year for me too. It's smart of you to keep dial-up as a backup. I have kept mine too, just in case my Lan connection goes down, and it has done so twice, so dial-up - as slow as it is - helps a lot.

Ouch! Dial-up is almost as slow and (pick an expletive) as I found DirecWay "high speed" Broadband to be.
However, it was perspicacious of you to keep the dial-up option open. Sort of a life raft in a storm.

Having my computer go on strike altogether would probably see a lot of my own procastinations going by the wayside, so I know exactly where you're coming from, Atheling2.

Actually, it has needed service for a while, but I just couldn't bear the idea of parting with it for over a week. Now I have to. I'll use a friend's computer when I can in the meantime!
