No surprise. Google has rejected all kinds of sites for telling the truth about Islam. Like the New Media Journal, whose postings no longer appear via Google News.
Interestingly, I had once applied for AdSense and was accepted. Despite telling the truth about Islam and about the Liberals in Canada. And being hard-hitting in doing so.
But guess what? after a couple of weeks, I actually rejected Google AdSense! Why? I made a measly $0.15 in those two weeks. Just fifteen measly stampings of Lincoln on a tiny, dirty old copper disc! Not worth the ugliness it added to my site, so I simply removed the AdSense code. They actually tried to get me to put it back, but I ignored them.

Just as well, then. I've got enough ads with Amazon.com. The main reason I wanted them was that I wanted to advocate certain books and encourage readers to buy them.

Atheling,
Congratulations on being a true conservative!
I just set up a blog at blogger and after reading your post, I have the honor of criticizing Google on their ground.
The article I wrote is about internet suppression and no one had better doubt that this is what it is. If we are to keep our internet (the only freedom for conservatives), we had better monitor, organize and resist. This goes for any American, who is liberal, moderate or conservative. It does not include those who are leftists and whose loyalties lie with the UN, European leftists, or Mommy Earth, who hate America anyway.
This is a further extention of the thought that is behind "hate speech". It can and will be carried to extremes by the leftists. Look for more of the same in other areas of your life.

I wouldn't even bother trying to open a Non -- ooops, I mean AD-sense account, outspoken cuss that I am at my blog.
I'll bet they'd open an account for an Islamofascist blog or an anti-Christian blog in a New York second.
I won't be clicking on any more Google ads in G-mail. It's folks like them, through suppression of the truth for PC reasons, that help the cause of our enemies.

Ath,
I pulled adsense after I received an email from them claiming I had illegal clicks. I have heard many stories of blogs that got booted by google once they got to 99 bucks (you don't get paid until you accumulate $100).

Atheling,
My post is on suppression of the internet and is located at:

This is something that will be dangerous to all Americans unless the alarm is raised.

Hmm... the Amazon ads thing looks interesting. I'm looking into it. Perfect way to promote books I think would be helpful to my own readers and hopefully make some extra disposable dough.
After all, many books we want often aren't available at local bookstores, perhaps since they may be liberal and/or Dhimmi and refuse to sell conservative books/truth-about-Islam books, etc.
I didn't even realize I could host such ads until you mentioned it, Atheling. Perhaps more bloggers need to learn about this so that more folks can access the books they want, which would be a good thing.

Ad Sense lacks common sense. Probably some Saudi prince owns a piece of their action. What DON'T they own a piece of these days?

Ya know, I think I'm better off without AdSense. I was just at a fellow blogger's site, and he's anti Muslim as well, yet he got AdSense, and the ads they put there are Muslim singles ads, convert to Islam ads, and other junk like that!
No thanks!

Google, Yahoo, MSN, AOL, all are "sensitive" to you-know-whom. As our government, as well as all Western governments, are also promoting this absurd "sensitivity," we face an uphill battle. Past battle-scars don't count. Each time you jump into the fray, the cries of outrage will be heard by the "authorities."
Whether this is because of heavy investment and demands of a certain foreign government in the entities exercising censorship or whether it is their concern about not alienating the market of squealing self-termed "victims," is not known.
Unmoderated comments allow the posting of outrageous hate messages (as was mentioned by someone with experience and insight) by one of a cadre and followed immediately by squeals of complaint by other members of this anti-freedom squad. This technique will cause the shutting down of pro-Western freedom sites.
The only counter is what can be termed the "hydra" technique. That is, for every site cut off, two or more are immediately grown.

Tom,
I don't think Google is applying censorship with AdSense. They can choose whomever they wish as an advertising platform, just as some commercials on TV may be pulled if the advertisers don't care for the content of the show.
However, it's what they do to YouTube which is disturbing. They permit porn, yet remove what they deem "islamophobic" or "hate speech."
But I do wonder if I'm being watched by them now...

You're not missing anything.
I had adsense on my page and got all these ads for Democrat singles.
So, you can imagine how much money I made.
P.S. Photobucket took down my images of Mohammed cartoons. The muzzies will try and silence us all.

I won't be clicking on any more Google ads in G-mail.
I get all sorts of whacky ads at the top of my gmail account, the funniest being a link to that children's book...something about "Why Mommy votes Democrat"
I've thought about adding ads, but hate cluttering my sidebar.
Mike,
That's quite aggravating that photobucket would do that.

I don't want ad sense, but if I did, I'm sure they would reject me as well. This is really getting ridiculous, AC. Where's our freedom of speech? GRRRRR!

"AdSense policy doesn't currently accept sites that advocate against any individual, group, or organization."
What a crock! AdSense allows advocating against the President, Republicans, Christians, patriots, and the military. Obviously, A2, you just weren't advocating against the right people and organizations - only the left.

This kind of action is the corollary of an increased presence by large business in the internet. Like any large corporation interested in its bottom line, Google is going to try to avoid controversy and pre-empt lawsuits that could negatively affects its revenue. Indeed, the larger the company, the fewer risks they will take. Google couldn't really care less about Free Speech (especially given its actions in China and elsewhere).
However, this is just one of the consequences of our free enterprise system. What I think we need to be far more concerned about and vigilant against is coercive actions by our government to restrict and suppress expression over the internet.
Along that line, have you heard about the new bill that McCain sponsored (with others) that as originally proposed threatened to shut down internet comments under the guise of protecting us against child pornography? While the protests that have erupted may limit or kill this proposal, nonetheless, it remains a harbinger of threats to come. Incumbants don't like competition. Here's one link for starters.

There must be a conservative oriented ad cooperative out there. Either that or we could start one and really rake in the bucks.
As for your banner, have you tried the Generator blog for resources:

WARNING: These toys get addictive (ask Gayle). But they are useful for making all kinds of graphics without having to do any graphics work.
You might think about a warning label:

This is the first I've seen of anything posted on the web by someone who was rejected by Adsense... It is not the first conservative Blogosphere complaint I've seen about Adsense, though - I was just thinking, earlier today in fact, about how I was a little late reponding to a blogger, who sent a survey to some 'GOP Bloggers'... I am glad that the entry Michael Swartz wrote, in response to the surveys he sent, is still online.
Here's a follow-up entry he did on this topic. Mr. Swartz's research can perhaps provide some food for thought, related to this subject.
