Gravatar We are all sick of the politics, but they don't go away. Great pics. Don't see that down here in Southern Cal.

Gravatar You don't see that down here in Central Texas either, Atheling. The pics are outstanding!

Thanks for the link. We're supposed to get down to the upper 20's here tonight, which is extreme for Central Texas at this time of year.

I get sick of politics too, Atheling, but I just keep plugging away. LOL!

Blessings!

Gravatar Again...beautiful pictures.

Fit for Christmas. Out here, Santa would be drenched in sweat wearing his outfit.

Gravatar For sure you don't see that here in Tel Aviv. Pass the Coppertone, please.

Gravatar Yeah, we don't get that down here in Pensacola, FL either. I miss it. Moved here after my Univeristy of Tennessee college days and haven't seen a good snowfall in ten years.

*sigh*

Gravatar Doug,

Thanks, no, they won't go away, but I just needed a bit of a break from politics. I think it's a bit of spiritual malaise, which will pass.

Hi Gayle,

Brrr! Sounds cold in Texas! Is that temperature going to be accompanied by any precipitation? Chance of snow??? If so, you have to take pics!

wordsmith:

Thanks, yes, it is nice, but I've got cabin fever!!!! ARGH!

Jay:

Watch those rays! I love tanning, myself, but I've given up sunbathing. Just keep on wearing that sunscreen!

WB:

I thought it snowed in Florida, recently! Thanks for the visit!

Gravatar Another warm day here in the SC Lowcountry. I'm trying to work up the Christmas spirit by putting up lights and decorations and all you have to do is walk outside.

Beautiful photos!

Gravatar Those great pics tell me I must go up north a ways next month, at least for a few days. Here in Charlotte, snow doesn't stick, though last winter there was this cool frost that covered the pines in local wooded areas.

One of my favorite things, which I haven't seen for many years, is waking up in the morning, looking out the window and seeing everything covered by snow.

Gravatar Mike:

Putting up Christmas lights and decorations do help one get into the Christmas spirit, and many people have put up their lights here as well... though not me.. *sheepish look*... I'm a procrastinator!

Seth:

Oh, I love that feeling, waking up, seeing snow on the ground, and thinking "No School!" or now, "No Work!"

Now, do you live in Charlotte VA, or Charlotte NC?

Gravatar North Carolina.

They probably get snow that sticks in the other Charlotte.

Parts of Tx get it good.

Many years ago, when I was driving from Nawlins to SF, and hadn't been up north for about 3 yrs, I stopped in Amarillo for a couple of days just to enjoy a blizzard they were having. Prior to that, I hadn't even known it snowed there.

Gravatar Breath taking is opening the door in -40 degree weather. It's enough to freeze ya in your tracks. We've had 3 days of between -30 and -40, now, with about 2 feet of snow on the ground ... I'd give a lot to see green right about now.

Gravatar Seth:

That's funny, staying there to enjoy a blizzard. In fact, I'd do the same if I hadn't seen snow for a long time either. I remember when I was living near the Poconos, going to college and we'd go out and play in the blizzards. We'd steal cafeteria trays and sled on them, drinking beer and wine... ah that was so much fun!

ABF:

I know what you mean. One winter when I was in college we had a killer weekend where it was so cold that it was 60 below with the wind chill factor. There was an advisory to not even go outside for more than a minute or two. I remember running across the street to visit friends and every breath felt like a knife in my lungs! That was scary!

Gravatar I tire of politics and thwarting world destruction frequently. That's when I don't post for week.

I hate snow - it's cold. I love lookng at it and listening to the soft enveloping silence, but overall it's just plain cold.

Gravatar Indigo:

Same here regarding the malaise against politics. Again, it's the poem... "The world is too much with us"

Gravatar We get snow here in Minnesota butnothing like in the mountains.

Nice shots.

Gravatar Hi there-you posted at me at Jihad Watch today so I thought I'd pay a visit here. Looks like everyone's impressed with the pix-they are nice. The weather has gone cukoo-here in Minnesota those pix are quite common. However, we haven't seen a single snowflake in the Twin Cities area. In fact, it was 60 degrees here on Thanksgiving (now it's back to a more normal 6 degrees!). I'm sure we'll get buried soon enough here while you get your nice weather back. Better enjoy the snow while it's still there! Take care.

Gravatar Uh oh...global warming is having an effect here in Los Angeles. I actually have to wear a sweatshirt at nights, now, to keep the cool away.

Gravatar Hi ISLAMSFORLOSERS:

I didn't know you lived in MN! Yikes. So, what do you think of Keith Ellison's election there? You need to keep extra vigilance. Let us know what's going on!

wordsmith:

It is global warming. And it's all George Bush's fault because he didn't sign the you know what!

Gravatar I know exactly how you feel. It seems that politics is a nasty game that never ends. Sometimes you just need to step away.
Great pictures. We haven't had snow yet.
I live close to NYC but it looks like we might have a good shot this weekend.
Thank you for stopping by.
Great blog you have here.

Gravatar Wordsmith: So now you're too cold to blog?

It's still quite warm here. I have to have the air conditioner on for the upstairs.

Gravatar Mike's tormenting me on multiple blogs, now...plus by email. Good grief!

Gravatar Great to see the pictures, atheling. Take a break- you deserve it. I wish I had your energy level. I'm sitting here in balmy Belgium with no snow on the ground. The temperature is not bad this year-must be that damn global warming! Everyone sits around with three kinds of trash in their house here, sorted and cleaned so someone else can pick through it at their leisure to save the enviornment(and so the government can collect for the mandated trash bags sold at exorbitant rates)(and so the people can feel so involved in saving the planet from those awful Americans),.

I can't wait until next May when I may be able to see some sunlight. Take care and enjoy your snow.
