The Dems hire a detectives, follow the Republicans around and get the dirt on them. Who said Califonia and GOP are the only ones who can do a recall? Pay the public for dirt on the TX Republicans. The Dems should have had a back up plan by now.
It goes without saying that conservative men find it almost impossible to hook up with normal women, and so must look to prostitutes to satisfy their unnatural desires. If the Texas Democrats weren't so fair-minded, they could plant some "honey traps" to snare wayward Republicans. Don't think for a minute that the GOP wouldn't resort to such tactics.

Then why don't democratic supporters highlight such acts of civility on the part of Democrats and the hypocrisy of the republicans when it comes election time?

Yeah, Cons go exclusively for the missionary position, which is objectively "the best sex". Liberals actually are okay with women being on top or in other strange positions, and they don't mind gays having sex, either--clearly demeaning.
Who is paying the hotel, food and other expenses of the Texas Democrats? Are they Texans or outside agitators? Legislators in Texas do not make a ton of money nor do they have big personal allowances. It's got to be pretty expensive for all of them to be AWOL from the Texas Senate.

There have been fundraisers, but it's starting to get serious for these guys since some of them have a minimum of cash. The state Repugs also have reportedly already raised $4 million to oust them from office.

Also, I might add: The Democratic Senators in ABQ are not taking the usual per diem allowance, since they're not doing work. (The Killer D's who went to Ardmore did the same).
I'd imagine, though, that things will work out okay. Sooner or later Texas will get tired of the whole affair, and I doubt that the 11 Democratic Senators from safe democratic districts are going to pay any price.
Perry might, and Dewhurst might, and the GOP might, however. People tend to root for the underdogs.
TIME FOR A RECALL IN TEXAS
Gov. Rick Perry should face the same thing as Gov. Davis. The Republicans don't think there is anything wrong with a recall so start a recall. Two can play that game.
Time to start the drive, start getting signatures. They start like Howard Dean did with getting signature dirve on line with every Dem in Texas, then progress to holding meetups and start getting signatures go after the Perry.

And it's disgraceful that it takes something like being openly threatened with extinction for the Dems to finally take their thumbs out of the collective butt and do something besides kissing the jackboots of the GOP. I remember how cringing and servile the Democrats were to Clarence Thomas during the hearings to decide whether he'd be appointed to the Supreme Court, and look how that came back to bite them on the ass. Thier good buddy Thomas certainly repaid them well, didn't he?
