The problem with other outlets picking this up is MSNBC is labelling it an "exclusive," which means, for example, CNN would have to credit MSNBC with breaking the story.

Now it's at #2. Mmm, electronic manipulation of polls. This must be how Diebold feels.

Juan,
This is not electing anyone to office. It's screaming loudly, electronically, so the media will wake up and do it's freakin' job.
Or, would you prefer that Google and Yahoo and USA Today lead the news with "Shoe Shiner donates $95,000 in tips to local hospital" doesn't that make you feel all warm inside, and the economy must be doing great if such a story is possible. Wow, GWB is such a benevolent and glorious leader.

Eh, I'm just saying that if I was a Christian Reconstructionist Republican Diebold employee (or something along those lines) I would experience a similar sense of pleasure/power when I helped keep one of them evil libruls out of office.

T voted down all the other stories. This is the story.
Where's the contemporary Woodward/Bernstein to go after this. If you were a young reporter in Washington, wouldn't you want Brad Pitt to immortalize you? Or given 30 years progress, perhaps Julia Roberts.

I emailed CNN urging them to pick up the story as well.
It's not a 'Top Story' on the CNN cover page. Simply stunning.
Hopefully this is only the first of many investigations requested. I'm sure Ashcroft will put his best people on the job.

With Ashcroft running the investigation I'm sure they'll get to the bottom of it. If there's anyone at the WH ashcroft doesn't like he can use them as the scapegoat.

And when you'e finished, go to the other top-10 stories and rate them DOWN. The stories are ranked by average score, not by number of votes!

As Josh Marshall as pointed out today, it's incredible that this story hasn't been picked up by the wires or any other news outlets.
I suspect there's a lot of consternation (and hopefully soul searching) for many in the media about this story. It's BIG and could permanently change the dynamics of the relationship between the mainstream media and the Bush Administration.
What's it gonna be guys?? We're waiting...

The Friday night story was an MSNBC/NBC "Exclusive." This means that the other news orgs have to talk to their own CIA sources to put the story together or advance it in any way. Weekend working conditions aren't going help that process, but if consumers write to AP, CNN, ABC, CBS, NPR, etc., demanding coverage and details, the feedback may hurry them along.
Yay, somebody else finally picked up the story. A measly little version of the story, but still. I'll be e-mailing every major media outlet I can think of this weekend. Should we start wearing "Justice for Valerie" buttons or t-shirts? Or maybe just "Ask me about Valerie" so inquiring minds might ask and we can spread the word.
