GravatarDoes anybody have a link to an NBC transcript? I'm trying to write this up for the Tacitus blog, and a deanforamerica transcript won't go over real well over there, but I can't find it on nbc.com or msnbc.

Thanks.

GravatarWho signs(ed) Lisa Meyers paycheck?

I think we can all agree it has to be Satan. Has to be.

GravatarI think we can all agree it has to be Satan. Has to be.

No question. When she aired the Juanita Brodderick crap I wrote the nastiest letter ever to NBC. Said I'd never watch them again, ever. And I haven't. She has the morals of a drunk whore at 3:00 am who hasn't had a trick and needs some heroin.

We probably need to start writing to their sponsors and tell them we're boycotting until she's off the air. It's the only way to get them where they live.

GravatarI happened to see this on MSNBC and it was pretty amazing. Most of the three or four Dean comments that she strung together were kind of interesting, but obviously taken out of context and/or obviously inconsequential. But she tried to put these nasty spins on them. But all the media's on the move these days, trying to insure an interesting horse race. Have they no decency, no sense of patriotism? Well, nobody believes them anymore.

GravatarOT: Meanwhile, I think Bush has gone (even more)nuts. We're in a goddam world war, on Orange alert. We're running a record deficit. We're paying $167 billion to get creamed in Iraq. The Chinese are funding our economy. Our schools can't afford paper and pencils, not to mention books. Millions have no health insurance. And what does George want to do? Fly to Mars. Please. Please. Please. Put that brilliant idea out at the State of the Union, George. This guy really is just stupid.

GravatarI can recall how Myers wriggled with obscene delight when she announced the "rumor" of the existence of a "semen-stained blue dress." She resembled nothing so much as a sow in heat. All the sexual frustrations embodied in the conservative "family-values" agenda were laid bare for all the world to see.

Yeah he is, and former Treasury Secretary O'Neill all but says so. See American Samizdat

GravatarA Lisa Myers hit job on NBC. A NYTimes article about a Democratic contender's change in clothing. Non-stop trumped-up scandals fed to the media by an opposing candidate's oppo squad...

Hmmmmm...I have this weird sense that I've seen something like this before. Wasn't it in a movie or something like that? Or am I just dreaming?

Anyone else having these type of feelings?

.

GravatarLisa Myers has been a thorn in Democratic sides for a real long time, going back to her days in print. The Carter people certainly weren't happy with her in 1980.

Gravatar"Anyone else having these type of feelings?"

Yes. But only because reality is scripted.

GravatarCome on my people! We have everything we need to begin a new American Revolution! We have the intellectuals and plenty of hot-heads like myself. Yeah, we'll shed some blood, gladly for our America! But despite those "Writs, nailed upon the walls" by our media, we will take our country back from George loyalists. GET READY!!!!

GravatarEssJay--

Oatmeal nearly came out my nose. Yer funny, dude(ette?).

I discovered the vast left wing conspiracy of the internet when I became apoplectic over the cheerleading coverage of the lead-up to Iraq. I swore off TV then but have snuck back because I'm working for Dean. I feel so ashamed.

But this really seems the opportunity to organize and say in one loud collective voice, enough is enough. Since I have a big mouth, I'm down for it. Dean and Trippi fighting the creeps was inspiring.

GravatarJuanita Broaddrick's story:

"I met Bill Clinton when he came to my nursing home to campaign for governor. I wanted to get Clinton bumper stickers for my car and I told him I wanted to volunteer. So he said next time I'm in Little Rock I should call his campaign. I was going to Little Rock for a convention so I called his campaign and they knew I was going to call!
The receptionist gave me his home phone number so I called him at home and set up a meeting in the coffee shop of my hotel. My roommate went out shopping. Clinton called me from the coffee shop and said it was too crowded could we meet in my room. So I made up a coffee service in my room. He got to my room and minutes after he was in the room, he raped me savagely, biting through my lip. Then he raped me again. Then he left. I didn't tell anyone but Norma and her sister and nobody among the hundreds of patients, nurses, relatives and doctors who came to my nursing home regularly asked about my severe facial injury."

That says all you need to know about Lisa Myers, reporter. She's either corrupt or she's a moron. There's holes wide enough to drive a truck through in Broaddrick's story. Why don't you have bumper stickers sent through the mail? Why wasn't Juanita in the coffee shop waiting for Clinton? etc.

Former US president Bill Clinton said in October during a visit to Portugal that he was convinced Iraq had weapons of mass destruction up until the fall of Saddam Hussein, Portuguese Prime Minister Jose Manuel Durao Barroso said.

"When Clinton was here recently he told me he was absolutely convinced, given his years in the White House and the access to privileged information which he had, that Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction until the end of the Saddam regime," he said in an interview with Portuguese cable news channel SIC Noticias.

Clinton, a Democrat who left office in 2001, met with Durao Barroso on October 21 when he travelled to Lisbon to give a speech on globalization.

The US justified going to war against Iraq last year citing the threat posed by Baghdad's weapons of mass destruction.

Republican President George W. Bush used Iraq's nuclear, chemical and biological weapons programmes and Saddam Hussein's ties to terrorism as the main case to the United Nations for the US-led war against Iraq.

But since the US occupation of Iraq, American forces have failed to uncover any chemical, biological or nuclear weapons since the war. Hundreds of experts are still scouring Iraq in the hunt.

An influential Washington think-tank said Thursday the Bush administration "systematically" inflated the threat from Iraq's weapons programmes in a bid to strengthen its push for military action against Iraq last year.

In its report, the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace also said it was unlikely that Iraq could have destroyed, hidden or moved out of the country hundreds of weapons of mass destruction without Washington detecting some sign of activity.

GravatarHey Atrios, It is a Nedra Pickler Day again!!!!

Dean Sees Clark As Chief Democrat Rival
1 hour, 1 minute ago

By NEDRA PICKLER, Associated Press Writer

CONCORD, N.H. - Howard Dean (news - web sites) has acknowledged Wesley Clark (news - web sites)'s momentum in the Democratic presidential race and singled him out as a chief rival for the nomination.

A CNN-USA Today-Gallup poll last week put Clark, a retired Army general, in a statistical tie nationally with Dean, a former Vermont governor, when the margin of error was taken into account. And Clark is the only Democratic candidate to come close to Dean's fund-raising in the last quarter — more than $14 million for Dean and more than $10 million for Clark, according to their campaigns.

Clark is not expected to overcome Dean in the first two key nominating contests — Clark is not competing in Iowa and is trailing Dean by double-digits in New Hampshire polls. But Clark could be a strong contender when the race moves to other parts of the country.

GravatarI think its time for someone to come up with Media Whore Trading Cards

GravatarAsked what his favorite book of the New Testament was, Howard Dean answered, Job, thus disproving the old saw that the devil can quote Scripture.

Hot Howard Dean was asked by the Concord Monitor where Osama bin Laden should be tried, and whether he should be executed, and suddenly the peppery front-runner got cool and analytical. "I've resisted pronouncing a sentence before guilt is found," said Dean. "I still have this old-fashioned notion that even with people like Osama, who is very likely to be found guilty, we should do our best not to . . . prejudge jury trials." What Dean should have said is that, for a range of offenses, from larceny to serial murder and treason, we have jury trials. For offenses of the magnitude of war, we wage war in return. In 2001 Congress authorized the executive to attack and topple the Afghan regime that Osama had colonized like a virus. Our soldiers, and the soldiers of our allies, hunt Osama's allies and minions to this day. When they find them, they don't serve warrants. Come on, Howard, connect with your emotions — pretend it's all about a bike path.

Dean complained to DNC chairman Terry McAuliffe that his rivals for the nomination were criticizing him. "If we had strong leadership in the Democratic party, they would be calling those other candidates and saying, ‘Hey, look, somebody's going to have to win here.'" One thinks back on recent primary battles — Bush vs. McCain, Gore vs. Bradley, Buchanan vs. everybody — and gapes. If Dean doesn't know that politics is a contact sport, perhaps he should stay cloistered in Vermont.

GravatarI think its time for someone to come up with Media Whore Trading Cards
Bing Crosby

Yes, but don't try to sell them on e-bay. And you'd need a lot more than 52 cards. Lots of jokers, who aren't funny.

GravatarHow many people here post under the moniker; "Anonymous"?

How many NOT here post under the same name?

(smart ass)

GravatarHmmm, Dean says that everyone deserves a trial and for defending that basic concept of American liberty, Anonymous apparently thinks this is wrong and we should elevate Bin Laden to a war criminal.

Why did Bush elevate this criminal thug to the level of warrior? Terrorists are not soldiers, they're criminals, and should be treated as such - meaning an arrest followed by a trial.

The only purpose Bush could have in making these thugs warriors would be to sidestep the rule of law, something Bush has proven quite adept at doing in his personal and professional lives.

GravatarConversations like these left me frustrated, for what exactly had Clinton been lying about for so long, other than adultery?...

http://www.guardian.co.uk/g2/ sto...,813189,00.html
" I went to the White House when Harvey Weinstein was showing Clinton the movie Welcome to Sarejevo, which I was in. I got a few moments alone with Clinton. Saddam throwing out the weapons inspectors was all over the news and I asked what he was going to do. His answer was very revealing. He said: "Everybody is telling me to bomb him. All the military are saying, 'You gotta bomb him.' But if even one innocent person died, I couldn't bear it." And I looked in his eyes and I believed him. Little did I know he was blocking humanitarian aid at the time, allowing the deaths of thousands of innocent people."

Just one he got caught in.

GravatarIs it possible to masturbate too much?
I'm all red and sore, but can't stop.

GravatarI'm trying to write this up for the Tacitus blog...

Why fucking bother?

GravatarAnother "Bush with Halo" picture. Click "homepage"... I'm looking for captions. Sharoney

Great picture --- has anyone yet decoded that secret signal he's giving?

GravatarI actually had the misfortune of witnessing Meyers report on tv. Her body language, facial expressions, tone of voice, and her glib ad lib editorial comments that came along with her report made it much worse. I mean after one heard the report you would think Howard Dean had lied, flip flopped, and was the biggest hypocrite on the face of the Earth and should pretty much be...well disqualified from running for President. Really,Can you believe this man is allowed to actually have opinions, speak his mind, and actually change his mind at times...never mind think he could be President with these actions.

At one point, she showed a snippet where Howard Dean back in 2000 said he thought in his soul Dubya was a moderate, and jumped all over this change because now Dr. Dean thinks Shrub's a radical. Ya know what, before Bush became the Preznit and before I began suffering from his irresponsible policies first hand, I thought (past tense here) he was a moderate too, a uniter not a divider.

Lastly, after her viewing 100 hours of these tapes...I want to know why she didn't mention any of the relevant policy comments he might have made in the other 99.9 hours of the tapes. Plus, will she be doing such and in depth view of the comments Shrub made not only as recently as 1 year ago, but when he was governor of Texas. I won't hold my breath for that report.

I am not a Dean supporter...yet, but with reports like these I had to say something because it was so blatantly biased.

GravatarHow many post under the moniker; "Anonymous"?

Everyone who, by choice or forgetfulness, omits their name. I posted that way once; ironically, it was the only time I had anything interesting to say.

Gravatardave, you moronic brownshirt fuck. go do your mom.

GravatarMyers used to be a good journalist. Now she thinks she's a movie star.

GravatarItem a: Is Lisa Myers still employed by ABC News? Non-TV-watchers want to know.

Item b: Another Nedra Pickler report - since we all know the relevant email addresses (npickler@ap.org, msilverman@ap.org, tcurley@ap.org, etc.) lets go ahead and start a Nedra Watch. Every single time she writes one of her "Nedra Specials" let's all share our thoughts immediately with her and her editors. I'll start today -

GravatarScrolling down Atrios' blog a bit, question a is now answered.

Time to figure out how to get Lisa's email address. Getting Nedra's was easy - now I'll aim for Lisa's

GravatarMyers is a thigh rubbing cow, the female (?) equivalent of Tweety Mathews. The Juanita Brodderick incident was the low light of an evil and nasty career as a hack. Let's all remember that Whoreothy Rabinowitz of the Whore Street Journal WON the Pulitzer Prize in 98 (?) and she was the first "mainstream" whore to interview Juanitia and say her lies were believable. Lisa went running after Whoreothy's column. Whoreothy got a Pulitzer. We're lucky Myers wasn't given an emmy. We're all peasants under glass to them

GravatarAnonymous,

Still the masturbating coward, I see. Some things never change. When you get around to answering my post about elevating terrorists to the level of soldiers, let me know, and then explain why you hate our troops so much.

Asswipe.

GravatarMeanwhile, Paul O'Neill tells us that

Bush was planning on invading Iraq in January of 2001 -- well before 9/11 gave him a pretext.

GravatarI'll say what I said before (to no avail?).

While you all worry only about sending emails to networks, individual reporters, editors etc, why not write a proper letter to the editor to POYNTER'S (Romenesko's site)?????

Folks, uh, the mainstreamers read that site, and Romenesko will publish non-journalists!
