It's fun enough to be grateful to you and to be spurred to political action -- but it's also fun for another reason.
You've created a community of "Patrios" on this site ... smarter, more effective, funnier, better than the old Boston tea-dumpers.
I'm coming to love some of your regular commenters as much as I do you. I fantasize a movie featuring a fuzzy-faced, incognitoed Atrios, Four Legs Walking (or whatever the name) Town Drunk, PansyPoo, and the other "Patrios" -- the committed, larkey, bright and serious people that give me hope that we can reclaim our wonderful country from, well, the Vile Wretches.
Oh, but the thrill of anticipating THE BOOBIES. . . . who could have predicted the fun of the the boobies? Formerly found on the Galapagos but brought here for our viewing pleasure. .

if we do prevent fundamentalist-driven open fascism in America, they will look back at Atrios as one of the reasons.

Dr. Hu took my graduation photo - nice guy, hope he's still happy in upstate New York.
Anniversaries are wonderful things - particularly years later, when you can say, 'Yes, I was there.' Nobody ever believes you of course. But the presents are really, really nice.
God bless, mijo. That'll be the day.

Allow me to echo Demetrios: you da man, Atrios.
Thank you for being the antithesis of everything John Ashcroft and Tom Ridge dream of and live for.

Word, brother.
Many thanks, Atrios, for bringing the fire to this burned-out old firebrand. My soapbox didnt have a purpose until I found this place!
Congratulations. I will skip the Hoeffel tip.

Big A --
You were one aging geezers first guide through the foggy docks of Blogistan.
Congrats, and God save the good work.

Way to go, Atrios. What can I add, but to also thank you for a place to go for a bit of sanity in a crazy world. Thanks also to all the great posters who have enlightened and entertained me...
Let's see, I found this place via Tom Tomorrow around the Trent Lott thing, and I think I actually sent you some turkee when you were having car trouble...
You were also instrumental in my sending donations to candidates...
Well, keep it up as long as you can and we will come! Give Mrs. Atrios a big smoochie today... she deserves it for those days when you post 20 things...

Thanks Atrios.
Before I found you, I'd watch the TV news and yell and scream and roll over in a panic. Can't they see Bush is lying, can't they see he has no clothes. I couldn't believe no one could see what was in front of their eyes.

Congrats Atrios
I've been a reader for more than a year now.
First it was the Iraq war that got me hooked and now it's the get rid of aWol movement that steals my time.
